#OOTD: A Little Yellow Sundress

“Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow”

This dress reminds me of all of the above! Today’s #OOTD is a simple little summer piece that I picked up from Old Navy this Spring. What I love about this piece is that it feels super soft like a t-shirt dress, but looks like something you could turn into a formal outfit. Today, I kept it semi-casual with some American Eagle flats that I adore and Betsy Johnson earrings. I love mixing unexpected things together, for instance the turquoise jewelry with this sunflower dress. I think it adds a little something extra to the look.

This exact dress isn’t available anymore, but if you click here you it will take you to a link of another Old Navy sundress in the same style! If you’re looking for something a little more casual, I found this yellow dress on Lulus¬†and the other from Princess Polly!

My trick for showing off earrings? Pull one side of your hair back. I love how almost 1940s it looks. In fact, when I wear this dress, I almost feel like I should be baking a pie in the kitchen (while also writing this country’s next best seller). Take a simple curl, throw in some bobby-pins, and you are ready to go!

If I were to make this a more formal outfit for a summer party or something, I would add some espadrille wedges or cork heels to keep that same beachy vibe, but make it a little more dressy. I would also add a summery pink lip and maybe a light jean jacket. Either way, the statement here should always stay the dress.

I hope you liked this #OOTD and happy #fashionfriday!
