The Sunday Review: J.Crew Coat

The reviews are in and this coat is everything.

I recently purchased this J.Crew Factory Village Coat to replace an older peacoat of mine. I had been eyeing up some classic camel coats from brands for a while, but I ended up settling on this J.Crew Factory coat because of two things: the sleek style and the comfy feel.

I love the sleek lines of this coat and how tapered it looks on the body, but also it’s the most comfortable coat. There is a little wrinkle as you can see in the pictures above from the coat being folded and shipped to me, but I could have the coat dry-cleaned or steam it to get rid of that.

I’ve worn this coat in harsh New York winds with a cozy sweater underneath and was never cold, so if you layer underneath with some long sleeves you’ll be able to take this coat from fall to spring effortlessly. The double layer around the neck also provides an extra layer of warmth. This peacoat is much different from a traditional button style, which is exactly what I was looking for. I hate when peacoats don’t button all the way to the neck, so this zipper and neck detail give you all the warmth those won’t.

I’m wearing a size 4, but honestly could have sized down to a size 2 depending on how you like it to fit. This coat also comes in a plum color as well as a navy, which are both on sale as well as the camel color! Best part? Use code HAPPYCLOSET and get an extra 60% off! That means the exact coat I’m wearing is only $60.00!!!

Hurry now and see you next Sunday for another review!
